Sunday School
Classes are offered for age three through adults every Sunday.  (Summer time:  10:45; School year: 9:45 am)

Mid-Week Adult Classes
Throughout the year, a variety of classes are offered to encourage people to grow in Christ.

Confirmation
A two-year confirmation program is offered for 7th and 8th graders.  Students are nurtured in faith as they explore the basics of the Bible and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. Fellowship activities are an important part of the process.

Fellowship
Activities: Throughout the year a variety of opportunities is provided to encourage fellowship.  Take time to browse through the photo gallery on this web site to see some of the fun!

LAFN:  The Lutheran Adult Fun Night arranges fun gatherings several times through the year.

Men’s Fellowship:  The men meet the second Saturday of the month for breakfast, fellowship, and prayer from 7:30 – 8:30 am.  The group sponsors various activities such as fishing trips and crawfish boils. 

Prayer
Prayer Network
Many of the congregations are actively engaged in prayer as prayer requests are distributed. 

Prayer Shawls
The Kneedlers create prayer shawls, providing them to those with special needs.

Service
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita have opened many ways to serve beyond the congregation.  Over 1500 cleaning kits were created as part of the Living Kits for the FEMA trailers.   Plans are underway to join with other Lutherans throughout the community and break ground on a Habitat for Humanity home in the fall.  See Hurricane Update for more information.

Youth
Lutheran Church of Our Saviour has a history of strong youth ministry. Great activities are planned for the coming months. Click here to go to our youth page.
